Headbanger Pull-ups are one of the straightforward exercises where you pull your body up to a bar, wrench yourself at the upper position till your arms form an angle of 90 degrees, and then lower yourself back down position.  If you have ever attempted to do one, you know that their straightforwardness exceeded their intensity. It takes strength, both mental and physical, to perform pull-ups.

Headbanger pull-up is an unusual exercise that does wonders for your biceps muscle. It helps you develop your endurance and strength. This workout is regarded as one of the “toughest exercises ever.” They are considered hard but still evoke the feeling of fear if you were amongst those who are forced to perform this in the gym class. There is a reason to include it in your weekly exercise routine. In the end, your hard work reaps the bountiful rewards.

Benefits of Head Banger Pull-up

1.     Head Banger pull-ups are famous for strengthening and building your upper body, yet, this is also from one of their claims to fame.

2.     An American Council on Exercise-certified trainer and certified strength and conditioning specialist (ACE), Jacque Crockford noted, "Because the Head Banger pull-up involves moving the whole of your body weight up against gravity, it provides incredible trunk stability and upper-body strength.

3.     This exercise involves your back muscles, and it acts as an excellent tool for elongating and strengthening those muscles. If you perform it daily, you may find that your posture starts to improve.

4.     This exercise works various muscles all at once in the form of a multi-joint, compound, and dynamic movement. It includes the muscles of your arms, back, shoulders, and chest.

How to do a Head Banger Pull-up

·       Grab the pull-up bar with your underhand grip facing you and your hands shoulder-width apart.

·       Now, let yourself hang with your arms almost straight (you do not need to worry about the complete straightening of arms) while maintaining tension in your shoulders and arms.

·       Pull yourself up till your arms bend at an angle of 90 degrees. You must retain this position and pull and push your body back and forth in a quick-tempered way. It will show that as if you were attempting to hit the pull-up bar with your forehead, then rep it as many times as you can.
